Tour Overview
The Golden Triangle is India’s most popular trip for a reason. In one route, you see Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, three cities packed with palaces, forts, and the world-famous Taj Mahal. But many travelers finish it feeling like they only saw the busy, crowded side of India.
That is where Mandawa comes in.
Mandawa is a small town in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, often called the “open-air art gallery of India.” Its streets are lined with old merchant mansions called havelis, and their walls are covered in colorful paintings of gods, kings, trains, and even early cars. It is quiet, easy on the eye, and feels like stepping back in time.
This 6-day tour adds Mandawa to the classic Golden Triangle. You get the big-name sights, plus a slow, peaceful break in the Rajasthan countryside. It works well for families, couples, friends, and first-time visitors to India.
Highlights
- See the white marble tomb glow in soft morning light, before the big crowds arrive.
- Walk through quiet lanes and admire hand-painted walls that are over 100 years old.
- Visit this historic fort, now run as a heritage hotel, and enjoy its old-world charm.
- Climb up to this grand hilltop fort with its mirror work and sweeping views.
- Explore the Pink City’s best-known landmarks.
- See India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, and the lively lanes of Chandni Chowk.

Mani is the best! Mani was 10/10 guide! A great chat and very knowledgeable about not only the Taj itself but the surrounding area, local fare and history. He showed us areas of the Taj not accessible to all of the public (felt very VIP) and is very familiar/friendly with security and staff of the grounds. As first time travelers to India, we felt very taken care of during the tour and most importantly, safe with Mani. We had so much fun and when we visit the Taj again, we would only want to do it again with him!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

family visit to Taj Mahal It was a wonderful experience when we visited the Taj Mahal and the Palace of the King in Agra a few days ago. Blessed to have as our guide Mr. Zahid, whose knowledge of the subject is superb, we enjoyed every moment of our walks through the site. His explanations were accurate and made the trip interesting. I highly recommend him for your personal or business visit to the region, you will not be disappointed. In addition to the love for his work and the subject-matter, he is an excellent photographer and with his skills made our visit a memorable one!

Begin with Humayun’s Tomb, a beautiful garden tomb that came before the Taj Mahal. Then drive past India Gate and the Parliament area, and visit Qutub Minar, a towering 13th-century minaret.
If you still have energy, wander through the busy lanes of Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi for street food, or enjoy a relaxed dinner near your hotel.
Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 4: Jaipur Sightseeing
Head to Amber Fort early to beat the crowds. Walk through its courtyards, the Sheesh Mahal (mirror palace), and enjoy the view over Maota Lake. Elephant rides are available, but many travelers now prefer to walk or take a jeep, which is kinder to the animals.
Stop at Hawa Mahal for photos of its famous honeycomb-style front.
Visit the City Palace and Jantar Mahal, a collection of giant stone astronomy tools built in the 1700s. Both are fascinating even if you are not into science.
