Golden Triangle Tour with Varanasi Itinerary

DAY 01 – Arrive Delhi

You will be met by the tour representative at the airport or railway station in Delhi and taken to your hotel. Check-in and get some rest for the night.

Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing and Journey to Agra

Start the second day of your Golden Triangle tour with Varanasi with a sumptuous breakfast and get ready to start your sightseeing expedition in Delhi. Check-out from your hotel and begin with some of the top landmarks in Old Delhi. Explore the majestic Red Fort which dates back to the 17^th century and then the awe-inspiring Jama Masjid, before taking a walk in the magical alleys of Chandni Chowk, one of Asia’s oldest markets. Round it off with a trip to the iconic Qutub Minar and pristine Humayun’s Tomb before halting for lunch.

After lunch, visit Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi and then the famous India Gate, before driving past the President’s House and Parliament House. Start your journey to Agra through the Yamuna Expressway thereafter. Upon arrival, check-in and get some rest.

Day 3: Journey to Jaipur

Start your day with a hearty breakfast, before embarking on your journey to Jaipur by car. On the way, you can click pictures of the beautiful sylvan surroundings. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check-in to your hotel and if you have time, visit the local markets for some shopping. You can pick up gemstones, jewellery, souvenirs, handicrafts, and textiles before heading back to your hotel for the night.

Day 4: Jaipur Sightseeing

Start the fourth day of your Golden Triangle tour with Varanasi with a delicious breakfast before setting out to explore Jaipur. Begin with the lovely Amer Fort which offers stunning views from its hilltop perch. You can take an elephant or jeep ride to the entrance as well. Cover the majestic City Palace complex, followed by the magical Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds, along with the Jantar Mantar after lunch.

Spend time at the beautiful Man Sagar Lake till sunset, taking in the ethereal views. You can also check out the stunning Jal Mahal that is nestled in the center of the lake. In the evening, visit Chokhi Dhani for an unforgettable Rajasthani meal, complete with folk dances and music, puppetry, and more. Return to your hotel and settle in for the night.

Day 5: Journey to Agra and Fatehpur Sikri

Start your journey to Agra after a filling breakfast and halt at Fatehpur Sikri on the way. This ancient and abandoned city will captivate you with its fascinating legends and stories. Check out the Palace of Jodha Bai, Buland Darwaza, Tomb of Salim Chisti, and other attractions within the complex and soak in the historical fervor to your heart’s content. Thereafter, continue your journey to Agra and check-in to your hotel upon arrival.

If you have time in the evening, go shopping in the bazaars of Agra and pick up souvenirs, while trying the famous Pethas and other delicious local street food here.

Day 6: Agra Sightseeing and Journey to Varanasi

Start your day with a trip to the Taj Mahal at sunrise, which promises to be a visual spectacle worth experiencing! Watch the sun rays fall on the marble monument, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Once you’re done exploring the Taj to your heart’s content, have breakfast at a local eatery and return to your hotel to freshen up. Check-out sometime later and visit the marvelous Agra Fort with its spellbinding architecture and landmarks like the Musamman Burj, Sheesh Mahal, and many more. After lunch, visit the Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah or Baby Taj for an equally enriching experience.

You can then venture to the Mehtab Bagh and view the Taj Mahal from a whole new angle at sunset. This spot gives you the chance to take some of the best photographs of the monument. You will then be transferred to the Agra railway station in the evening and board the air-conditioned sleeper coach for your overnight journey to Varanasi.

Day 7: Arrival in Varanasi and Aarti

Meet the tour representative upon your arrival in Varanasi and get a transfer to the hotel. Check-in and get some rest after lunch. In the evening, view the magical Ganga Aarti at the famous Dashashwamedh Ghat with the lamps, rituals, and chanting creating a fabulous atmosphere. Return to your hotel and settle in for the night.

Day 8: Varanasi Sightseeing

Enjoy a tasty breakfast in the morning and start the eighth day of your Golden Triangle tour with Varanasi with a lovely Ganges River boat ride. Day 9: Sarnath Trip and Return to Delhi

After breakfast in the morning, you will check-out from your hotel in Varanasi and travel to Sarnath, which is just 10 km away. It is the historical place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Some other attractions include the Chaukhandi Stupa, Dhamek Stupa, and the Sarnath Museum. Thereafter, you will start your return journey to Delhi with a transfer to the Varanasi airport, from where you will catch your flight to the Capital.
